During the Cu Chi Tunnels tour, we climbed in a hole that has been made bigger for tourists and put the lid on, climbed through tunnels that have also been widened for tourists but if you do 100 metres you will need to crawl! We also saw traps that they used and also how they re-used bombs and other war parts like the chains from a tank.
You can fire the guns here, as you can hear in the background when I am trying to talk but this does cost extra and we left the money back in the van!
Visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels helped me understand why the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong won the Vietnam War. They dug 70 mile long tunnels by hand and hid there during the day despite horrendous conditions. They also had to cook in these tunnels but they only had the mornings to do their cooking.
Was such a good tour and we highly recommend it!
